Had something strange happen less than an hour ago. NJ online sportsbooks accounts now all require two step verification where they send you a PIN number to your phone in order to log in. Some require every time others require every couple of weeks. FoxBet requires it every time. Before they were sending it to my email. Now they send it to your phone. About an hour ago I get a PIN text on my phone from Fox yet I wasn't trying to log in. Last time I logged in was about 9 days ago. I thought it was suspicious so I went to the account to try to log in. They send you a new PIN. via SMS text. I didn't get one. Tried again same result. I tried the PIN I didn't request and that failed.
You can't live chat with Fox unless you are logged in. They have this stupid virtual assistant that is of no use. They have no customer service phone number. I finally found a way to send them a message via text where they tell you they won't respond for several hours. It's ridiculous. I don't know what's going on. Is someone making bets on my account or trying to withdraw money from my account. That would be rather difficult because I do withdraws via PayPal and when I did use my checking account it's in my name. It would be a serious hack if someone pulled it off. I don't how you could do it. If they changed my password the account would have said failed log-in when I attempted. Nothing explains the not requested PIN unless someone hacked my desktop and is trying to log in to my sports accounts. I would still get a PIN sent to my phone. The fact that I can't get a new PIN sent to my phone is very disturbing. It means if the hacker was successful he was able to change the phone number on the account so when I try to log in the PIN number goes to his phone and he can log in to the account via a remote desktop. He could also change my email and then possibly change my withdrawal methods.
